Year 3 explored the different types of relationships they have experinced in their lives.

When Things Feel Bad                                                                                                                                                        

Sometimes we find ourselves in scary situations that can feel daunting. Year 3 looked

at what they can do to find their way out of these situations, we know we must tell a trusted adult!

This term the British Value is Mutual Respect, Year 3 learned the importance of understanding that everyone is entitled to have their own beliefs without fear of judgment

Year 3 look at the importance of caring for each other and what to do if you are being bullied or know someone who is.

Year 3 acted out emergency situations and the steps they would take to save somebodies life!

A Community of Love 

Year 3 collected words they thought represented the characteristics of God. Then they thought about how they can show these characteristic in their lives.

What is the Church?

Year 3 were invited over to church by Father Alphonsus to experice a service and start preperations for making their Holy Communion.

Year 3 thought about how their actions affect other and what they do to show love.

Spring 1

This term the Gospel Value was Peace. Year 3 look at how they can bring peace to eacher and the world around them. We wrote prayers for places in the world fighting for Peace.

This term the British Value is Idividual Liberty. Year 3 learned the importance of being able to stand up for what they believe in and have the right to be who they want as long as it doesnt break the law.

Year 3 analysed the schools safeguarding leaflet, now they know what to do if they need help or somone to talk to.

National Storytelling Week

Year 3 enjoyed inviting parents into school to attend a readign cafe.

Childrens Mental Health Week

For Childrens Mental Health Week Year 3 looked at how their emotions can effect the way they act and their judgment towards certain situations.

They came up with many ways they can keep their minds present and practice regular good mental health activities and habits.

At St Sebastians we use the zones of regulation to help children get ready and engage for learning.

When working through the zones of regulation we always want to try and get to 'green' this means we are ready to learn. Sometimes we have to work through more than one colour to get there, we can do this on our own or with a trusted adult.
