Lunches
School meals are cooked on the premises by Citywide Services. The Cook Supervisor is Mrs Jolly and her assistants are Miss Davenport, Mrs Janson and Miss Brown. The children are supervised by our Welfare Assistants who are Mrs Foy, Mrs Kasinska, Miss Murden, Miss Graham and Mrs Worthington.
All meals are paid for on School spider app (Login | School Spider). From 1st April school meals will cost £2.10 per day (£10.50 per week). As per Citywide Policy, meals need to be paid for in advance of the week. The menu always includes a vegetarian and sandwich option and it changes each week (please see menu below). Please inform us of any specific dietary requirements and we will do our best to help.
Free School Meals & Milk
If you are in receipt of certain welfare benefits you may be entitled to claim free school meals and milk for your child. Applications can be made at Pendleton Gateway (Salford Shopping City) or by telephoning 0161 793 2500. For further information, please see https://www.salford.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/free-school-meals/
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 currently receive a UIFSM as part of a Government Scheme. This however does not extend to free milk and if you are entitled to receive free school meals and milk as a low income family, it is really important that you still apply as school receives extra Government funding for every child on our free school meal register.
Packed Lunches
If children prefer, they can bring a packed lunch to school but please do not include fizzy drinks, crisps or chocolate. Any changes from packed lunches to meals must be made in writing and at least 1 week's notice must be given to the school office please.
